As some people may know, the remake of Footloose is coming to theaters next Friday. Which was pretty shocking for me to see the commercials for the movie because I am a big fan of the original movie.
As for my question, what does everyone think about how the remake of this movie is going to be? |

It belonged to the era that created it, and we're digging up its grave and expecting its decayed flesh not to stink.

There are some movies, one should never re-make, such as Sound of Music, Dirty Dancing, and Footloose. They are better as classics and have better actors in them.

I do not think it will be interesting at all. I've noticed most movies lately have resorted to the same CGI effects, same actor-types, etc. They're making movies all look the same and have the same feel.
And RE-making a movie is probably going to be worse. Footloose is one of my all time favorites with Kevin Bacon. There's no such thing as Footloose without Kevin Bacon, the tractor scene and the music. It all fit together too well. So you have gray hair and you're only 26
that's just another reason I love you... ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I LOVE the original but I'll probably see the remake. Considering I don't think it will be exactly the same I think it might be good.
Oh and I'm fairly sure they are remaking Dirty Dancing. |

I have been noticing lately they have been remaking a crap load of classic movies and I think remakes suck. What's the point of a remake anyway it's so dumb. Why can't you just let an original movie have it's own place in film history without it making some modern suckball remake crap to have it remembered by.
Are all of Hollywood's writers and producers all out of fresh ideas and that lacking of creativity that they have to dig up and dust off movies from the past? Pure Imagination
