Hooray.

I don't like the Red Wings. They're too cocky, and Osgood seems to think he's perfect. And Cameron, how was the reffing horrible?

Lol, my dad was extremely happy. My friend wasn't; he bet $100 on Detroit.

Random question, did you watch game 6? Did you see the part where Talbot literally pick up I think Holmstrom's leg and threw it? Did you see the parts where Holmstrom/Filpulla/Hossa/everyone else who went in front of the net got cross checked MULTIPLE TIMES in the back when they don't have the puck? I could go on.

And I don't get why people don't like the Wings. Is it cause we've been in the top half of the league for about 17-18 years now?

those reffs fucking sucked so bad!! they were calling shit on the red wings like crazy and letting the stupid ass penguins go,they making bullshit calls on the wings!!!

WE DO NOT LOOSE TO PENGUINS EVER AGAIN!!!!! EVER AGAIN!!!

this game was bullshit,we should have won,it should have been 1 to 1 not 1 to 2,the penguins second goal did NOT go over the goalies line, every angle they showed it at,i never saw it go over that line. not to mention it shouldnt have even counted if it did go over the line, that should have been called as icing!! stupid fucking reffs!!!

THE RED WINGS SHOULD HAVE WON!!!!

(yes,i am a Red Wings fan)

really? i didnt thik it did,it didnt look it did to me,but the reffs should have called icing anyways so it shouldnt have counted. if we would have had some decent ass reffs for that game,we would have what is rightly supposed to be ours right now. stupid mofoes!!!

Re: NHL Stanley cup winner. - June 14th 2009, 04:50 PM

I was wanting the Red Wings to win, but the aftermath changed my mind. I know several hockey fans and several Red Wings fans and take part in a few forums...and not a single Red Wings fan has stepped back and said "You know what, we might have played better, but congratulations to the Pens." but instead I just see several tirades about reffing, Crosby, Malkin and every excuse under the sun.

All I can say is roll on next year!

How many Hawks fans on those forums congratulated the Wings? It's the fact that going through 13 games in the playoffs in two years, plus having one of the biggest bitches in the league, makes for a rivalry.

I do admit though, we got horribly outplayed in Game 7... Game 6 is a different story...

As a native of Thunder Bay, I am quite proud of the Staal bros bringing the Stanley Cup to us again. Well, not really, I'm not all that interested in hockey, but it still somehow feels good that we produced them.

I'm a Red Wings fan through and through, so I was quite disappointed. But no worries, we won last year and we will win again! Hehehe...

Yeah, hopefully. Helm, Ericcson, Abdelkader, and Leino should be on the team all season next year. I'm just afraid of what's going to happen when Lidstrom and Osgood retire.
