I just got a new phone (iPhone), and it can connect to wireless networks. So I connect to my house's network, and I entered the WEP key and all is well. But every time I go on AIM or open Safari it asks me for the password again. Shouldn't it remember it from last time? Also, if it doesn't work like that, is there any way to change the key? Entering 26 random letters and numbers gets to you after a while.

Hm, my first guess would be that maybe the signal isn't great and it's just disconnecting every so often, hence asking for the WEP key again. Have you tried connecting at different locations in your house?

Also, in order to change the WEP key, you'll need to go into your router settings. How to do this varies with the make and model of your router, so if you can give that, I can go into more detail .

Like Janos said, it could be a bad connection. Walls can really disrupt the signal from wifi.
And to change the key, open up your internet browser (explorer, firefox, etc.) and type 192.168.1.1 into the address bar. That's the default number to get into your router's settings. If that number doesn't work, you'll have to find a way to find out your default gateway (the easiest [I hope] way to do this is to open up the command prompt, and type "ipconfig /all" without the quotation marks, then scroll around till you find the default gateway)

Anyways, after you get into your router's settings page, it gets a bit complicated, because we don't know what model or make your router is. Generally speaking, go to the security section, and it might ask you for a password. Unless you know that a password was set, just hit submit/enter/continue. It should show you your WEP key, or at least a button to click to get to it. Just change it/disable it(be careful if you disable it, huge security hole!).
