Depends what you want.
As a gaming platform, the Xbox is definitively ahead of the PS3, especially in community. However more and more game devs are taking the PS3 seriously and not just porting to it, so it's getting better at gaming. Still doesn't beat the Xbox though. Where the PS3 does have the advantage is the "extras" - music, video, web, linux etc. So which you should get really depends on whether you want a gaming solution or a sort of entertainment all-in-one combo. |

Can I have a Nintendo option
 ?Hmm I like Playstations better because I was bought up with a house full of PsOnes. Also I think the controls are sometimes easier on a Playstation.  |

I like playstation.
Whilst there's some personal bias in there too, it's more since the PS3 is the more powerful machine, and the xbox live community are a bunch of (insert word I'd be duty bound as a mod to edit out >.> ) . I swear, it just seems to be a bunch of loud morons making strange noises at each other...  "My one desire is for peace -- peace for everyone" |

An argument going on in my head right now,as I plan to buy one in 2 months or so
Right now Im leaning toward the xbox though, mainly because all my friends have it, and Im not sure, I just seem to prefer it Having said that,I've just one and looked at the PS3 and kind of like the idea of that now The slim one anyways... ARGH!! Decisions decisions!
How can one love themselves, when they love absolutely nothing? Do something that is interesting. If it is not interesting, find out why it is not interesting. |

I agree with the multiplayer factor for the XBox 360. There really needs to be more local multiplayer friendly games for the PS3 other than fighting and sports games.
I own a PS3 and I like it, so I'm biased. I prefer playing my own rather than playing a friend's 360. I think PS3 will have a greater longevity and turn out to be a better system in the long run just like the PS2. Rawr. I want a PS2 now. Have a Story to Share About Your Mental Health Experiences?  Thanks you two! Thas a good point, big factor for me too be honest... Always thought apart from interface, both were good at playing with friends...

ps2 was great while the original xbox sucked in my opinion. Now the xbox360 is better than the playstation 3.
