I'm a wedding guest... but what do I wear? - March 31st 2013, 11:25 AM

So it's my boyfriend's Uncle's wedding on May 11th - this be the chance where I'll meet most of his family - and I don't have a clue what to wear!!!

Obviously, it's a wedding, so I want to look appropriate, but I'm going to meet half of my boyfriend's family, so I want to look smart, but I'll be wearing a boot on my left foot as I'll be having an operation - two weeks before the wedding - on my foot.

I'm thinking a maxi dress. Is this ok? Where could I get it from? (I live in the UK) And because I'm going to have a black boot on my left foot, I was just thinking of wearing my black ankle boot with a buckle on the side on my right foot.

I'll worry about hair styles later. And I don't want something too expensive!

Any help will be appreciated!!! Thanks,

And she turns up the music, to drown out her life.

22/12/2014 was the last date I self-harmed. The longest I have gone so far is 1 year, 2 months and 5 days. This time, I hope I can give up! New record: 1 year 6 months! Yay!!

Lipsy does really good formal dresses
you could also get something nice in Monsoon

Hey there,
In the UK there are lots of lovely shops to buy clothes for weddings.
Lipsy do lovely things as stated above,
Next do some lovely formal clothes, Topshop do pretty dresses, New look do some nice bits, TK Maxx sell some lovely things, if in doubt look online and shop around. A maxi dress will be fine. You still have a while, so just look online to get ideas.

You can get maxi dresses from most shops I think. My mum found some nice ones in marks and spencers I think. I think, at a wedding, so long as you make an effort you'll be fine. Everyone'll be focusing on the bride's dress anyway.
