Home coming dress...too short? - October 1st 2013, 03:45 AM

Homecoming is this Saturday and last Friday I thought I found a really good dress at forever 21. My friends loved it, urged me to by it, yet of course, when I go home, my mom she likes it but it's too short.
The thing is:
1. The skirt is fingertip length, the dress code policy for our school.
2. I'm going to be wearing spandex shorts underneath...I don't want anyone seeing my underwear.....
3. My dad doesn't care, he says it's fine since I plan on wearing shorts underneath.
I'm not trying to show any thing off, or be that type of girl; I just want to enjoy the dance .
But now I'm a little worried....
Please comment what you think...I also plan on wearing heels with it....
Gah, desicions Dx

I don't think it's too short. Since you're wearing shorts under it, and it fits for the dress code I think it's fine. As long as you feel comfortable in it and you like the dress, then all is good. It's pretty, by the way

Okay, thanks I'm just a little worried of what others might think
...I suppose looking at other dresses wouldn't hurt though

You're welcome! I know what you mean. Even though it's easier said than done, try to forget about other people. If it makes you feel pretty, go for it! You deserve to have fun at the dance

I'd say wear the dress. Everyone loves it, including you. It looks stunning on you. And it's not breaking any dress codes. With that in mind, if you feel like if you wear that dress you're constantly going to be feeling uncomfortable, don't wear it. Or maybe put some legging on underneath. Do whatever makes you feel beautiful and comfortable.

I don't think it looks too short. It looks really great on you, and everyone else likes it. It's fitting dress code policy, so it's not against any rules. And you're wearing the shorts underneath. I bet others will have that length dress too.

Thanks everyone for your comments but I found a different dress that I like a bit better I think I'm going to stick with the new one, and return the black one.
Thanks again for all your comments!

I think it isn't too short, when you wear leggins or shorts under it, you'll feel better.
