The right way to wear a beanie? - November 16th 2013, 04:55 AM

I love my beanie. It's probably my most favorite hat, if not my most favorite clothing item. I've always worn it folded up at the ends once and then just about inch above my hair so...it's really hard to explain, but I let it hang in the back.
So today, this girl who doesn't really like me and is always criticizing me...she said, "If you're gonna wear that can you at least wear it right?!" Then she said you're not supposed to fold it at all, and she literally fixed it for me.

I thought it was fine to wear it like that...was it the 'wrong way' or is there no such thing?
And how do I make that girl get her head out of her ass and prove I'm better than her and her stupid comments?

Wear it however you want. If you want to fold it up, fold it up, if you don't, don't. Either styles will look good and I was actually considering wearing the beanie I have folded up cause I felt it would be better so you aren't the only one. If she is the type of person to pick on everything you do, she's bound to say something about how you wear your hat just to have a dig.

Hey, if that's how you feel most comfortable wearing the beanie, why don't you wear it how YOU like it? You don't have to go changing your style just because someone else doesn't like it.

I was looking at the Zumiez website because apparently they have a beanies section (thanks, Google!) and it basically told me there's no wrong way to wear a beanie, and they actually had like eight different styles of how people wear their beanies right there! They even have something on a section of their site that said something about taking a picture of your beanie and showing it off on Instagram with the hashtag #beaniestyle. So I don't necessarily think there's a wrong way.

But heck, even if there IS a certain way that most people wear their beanies, you don't have to follow it if you don't want to. Invent your own style. I doubt any of your true friends are going to get mad at you for wearing it wrong, or if they wear beanies themselves they may give you a suggestion, but that's about it.

If that girl keeps giving you problems remind her that this is YOUR style, don't like it? Don't look at you and just carry on with what she was doing. It's none of her business what you wear and how.

Let it come and let it be...
