So, its almost spring...

I'm really in the mood to start tanning, get my hair lightened, get my nails done... all that stuff to feel sexy for summer time

BUT I'm on a budget. Actually, I have no money of my own because I'm a full time mommy atm. But my boyfriend allows me (lol) to have some things done. So, does anyone know how to have these things done muuuch cheaper than professionally. Like, places where there is cheaper access to a tanning bed (or products that give you are real looking tan), and can I do professional looking nails/hair at home somehow? Thanks!

You live on the east coast? Then why not just lay out with some tanning oil?

As for the hair you can do it yourself and just gradually get a lighter color.
I dont know about the other things but I am sure someone else will be able to help there.

You know whats funny, I didnt even consider laying out... I've always just been a tanning bed person But I bet I could go out with my son for an hour or two and he can just play around while I tan.

And, when I try to go lighter at home my hair always turns a shade of orange. Is there a way to keep that from happening?

You could look into fashion/beauty schools in the area--sometimes the students there do hair procedures for cheapsies. As for tanning, I think it's a risk no matter what you do, so I would just look into the most low-toxic version of tanning you can. Check out this site, about tanning.

Nails you can probably do yourself. Nothing fancy, but just keeping your skin on your hands in good condition and your nails clean and healthy looking works miracles--maybe a light coat of clear or light see-through pink? I think spring is all about looking fresh and clean, so, ah yeah. It can be supacheap.

Also, I'm not sure if you're interested in this stuff, but there's lots of DIY natural hair/face/skin procedures you can do with basic plant oils and things you buy at the grocery store. It's pretty basic, but I enjoy it.

Thanks for the tips! I'll definitely look into the beauty school thing. My hair is so plain right now, and I want to so something way different... they could probably do something "hip" for me
