Pandora bracelets - clasp help. -
August 12th 2010, 12:34 PM
I got a pandora bracelet for my 18th birthday from my boyfriend.
It is one with a clasp like this http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgur...1t:429,r:6,s:0 and I cannot open it. My boyfriend can but I can't and he isn't here all the time. I have only done it once using my teeth which I do not want to do as it hurts my teeth and I don't want to break or scratch the bracelet. I found this video but it doesn't help because I bite my nails they are too short to use to open the bracelet and it just hurts. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OdKd2VfFMk8 Anyone with a pandora bracelet got any tips for how to open the clasp? |

Hmmm....I always use my nails to open them at work and on mine, but if I can't, I use a butter knife or little screwdriver and use it to pop the clasp [Don't do this with the 14k Gold ones!!!!!] Be careful though, silver is soft and scratches easily. We have blunt scalpels at work which do the job nicely...but I'm not sure where you'd get one.
Otherwise....grow your nails? ![]() Edit: The clasps d loosen over time, just keep opening and closing it, but you can pop it into a jewellers and ask them to see if they can loosen it. Should be free 'cause it's just a little bit of silver ![]() Just a hop, skip and a jump. |

![]() Right now I am using a 5p but my Mum has said she will get me a clasp opener if I pass my A levels and get into Uni. She hates doing the clasp for me, she split her nail doing it today and refuses to do it any more. 5p seems to be working well but I am still scared about damaging it but a 5p can't be much worse than the clasp opener. Tweezers work too ![]() I'm going to close this now as I have found a solution for now and I am getting the clasp opener in the future.
