Eyebrows - February 18th 2011, 09:17 PM

So I was wondering, how do you take care of your eyebrows? I've never done anything to mine, but I think I should, I don't like the was they look. But i'm not sure how.

So what do you do to take care of yours? And why do you use this method?

If you've never done it before why not go to a professional? It doesn't cost much (I took my fiance to get hers done) and while you're there I'm sure they wouldn't mind giving you some tips on keeping it the way you want.

for the first time get it done professionally then you can keep them neat by plucking every now and again.
and i pluck mine myself, not that often.. once a week or so i guess.. maybe less often.

I don't do much to mine really but people tell me I have nice eyebrows. People don't believe me when I say I don't to anything.

I don't do anything to shape them but if there are any long scraggly hairs that are annoying I will pluck them.

My cousin gets hers threaded and really recommends it.

I don't do anything to mine... I never have, and I guess I just decided that natural is better.

Although, I can't say I haven't thought about it.

Pluck them usually I get my sister to do them because I'm afraid I'll mess them up and she is really cool at it.

Going to a professional first sounds like a good idea. Does it hurt a lot when you pluck them?

I pluck mine too. I find if you take washcloth and put warm water on it, it helps. And it doesn't hurt too bad

I don't do anything to mine, I'm terrified that I'll like lose them completely if I try to. I think that eyebrows are just weird and I try to not think about them.

I thread, pluck, and wax. I usually try to wax every 2 months, thread every week, and pluck every day or every other day. I'm an absolute nut about my eyebrows and I hate little straggler hairs. Waxing is ok if you get a good person to do them. To be honest, I love threading the most because it lasts longer than plucking, but I go through so much thread.

Re: Eyebrows - February 23rd 2011, 01:23 AM

I've mine waxed about three times, generally I pluck. Personally I find waxing my eyebrows incredibly painful, because I have hugely sensitive skin, especially around my eyes. Most people I know say it's painless though so I guess that's a personal thing.
I only every so often if I've let the plucking slide and need them reshaped. Plucking is easy and you can do it quickly every day or so to keep them in shape rather than having to grow them out for a wax ...

Definitely agree. I pluck mine after I get out of a hot shower and I hardly feel anything while plucking.

I got mine waxed at a salon the first time, that way it's done professionally and you can tell them exactly what you want. It hurts less each time- and so does plucking. I do mine right after I shower and just keep them neat.

I pluck, it's a pain, but it does the job

I pluck but I am eventually going to get them done at the salon and then manage them myself.

I get mine waxed when I can afford to, but when I can't, I pluck with the tweezers.

My mom used to take me to the mall and have it done at a nail place. Then I tried a home wax kit. Now I just pluck. I would like to go back to waxing, but don't have money.

I always get my eyebrows threaded. That way you can get the perfect shape that you want, plus it lasts longer. But I suggest getting them done professionally rather than yourself because if you're gonna thread and if you're not careful, you might pull out some hair you're not supposed to.
