Hairstyle suggestions! - December 22nd 2012, 03:52 AM

So my hair is auburn, and very thick and wavy/curly. It tends to be extremely frizzy and "fluffy" all day after I take a shower, unless I put mousse in it And I usually don't, because mousse gives it that "crunchy" feel...

Because of this, I usually end up wearing it in a plain, boring ponytail. It's easy and keeps my hair out of my face when it's in a fluffy mood.

So I was wondering, does anyone have any suggestions for cute/pretty variations on a typical ponytail? Something I can do to a ponytail to "jazz it up" a bit and make it look different every day I can do those tiny braids at the side of my face, but I can't actually put my hair in a braid at the back. And I don't have a lot of time in the morning - usually no more than 5 minutes. But I can probably make 10 minutes or so occasionally if I have to. However: I AM NOT SKILLED WITH HAIR

Hairstyle suggestions? Thanks, guys

I'm not that good with styling hair, however I have some suggestions to make it less fluffy.
First of all, do you blow dry your hair, or do you let it air dry? Letting it air dry can prevent it from getting frizzy. As for mousse, it shouldn't be getting crunchy. If it is, that means that you're using too much product. You really only need about a quarter size amount, and then make sure to rub it between your hands until it becomes clear before gently tousling it into your hair.
I used to hang long curly hair, and I would take showers in the evening so that I could sleep on it which would help to flatten it. If you take showers in the morning, try taking them in the evening instead and see if that helps.

And here you are living, despite it all.
