GHD Straighteners - Are they worth it? - February 2nd 2015, 09:10 PM

My Remington straighteners are breaking on me, they're taking forever to heat up and aren't as good anymore. I'm thinking of buying GHD's but are they worth the price? Are they as good as everybody claims?

I've never personally owned a GHD but having lived briefly with people who do on several occasions I would say that they're worth the money. I'm happy with my Remington but a GHD would work better than that.

Thanks I think I may get refurbished ones. I do use my straighteners a lot (probably too much) so that's why they're breaking now, they were pretty good when I first bought them though.

They're definitely worth it!

I have quite thick hair and no other straighteners are able to keep it straight for as long as my GHDs do. They last quite a long time as well so if you think you're old ones are breaking due to overuse then GHDs are totally worth the investment. I've had mine for almost 3 years now and they're still as good as when I first got them and I probably use my straighteners almost everyday.

I personally never had one, but I would recommend buying a CHI straightener instead. Depending on what model of the CHI you buy, you can set the temperature at which you want it to heat up to and it is very fast in heating up.

I bought a refurbished pair off Ebay The guy has 100% positive feedback, gives you a 6 month guarantee and fixes them too

Seems like a good deal
