Ways to make hair grow faster? - August 8th 2009, 04:34 AM

Heeyyy.
So I got a hair cut today.. I just wanted kinda a trim and a clean up because I'm growing my hair out. I want long hair. I had it pretty long.. but she cut way too much off! So now I feel like I'm back where I started with hair length. I was trying to grow it all summer. I want it long!

Is there any way I can make it grow faster? Any vitamins I can get? Anything?

Ha, thank you!

There isn't much you can do, but massaging your scalp stimulates your hair folicles. At least that's what I've read. And supposedly vitaman B helps, but not very much. You just have to be patient. And use a heat protecter so you don't get split ends in the first place.

Honestly,No. The one I can only think of is
keeping your hair healthy so it can grow longer. I don't know much
about taking vitamins for it thou. Sorry.

Yeahh I stopped using heat and started using damage control shampoo, so I'm trying to be healthy.

Nope, there isnt anything you can do.

When I was 15 my mom cut all my hair off. I cried so hard.
Since then i've never been to a hairdressers for a trim OR let anybody else do it.
I wait about 6-8 weeks and then I trim it myself.
BUT for over a year I didnt have a single trim. I know, that sounds yucky but it's the only way I could ensure my hair was going to grow without any setbacks.

This way I went from having almost no hair to it being where it is right now...down to my belly button.

It took about 2 or maybe 3 years for it to get this long and everybody's hair grows at different speeds but maybe use that as a guideline.

Maybe take a course on hairdressing. I went to college to study it, that's how I know to trim mine now. I recomend that you don't try to trim it yourself until you know how.

Do NOT go to hairdressers...they WILL obliviate the length of your hair. No matter which one you go to or how much you pay them. They will always hack it off.

Vitamin C helps a lot. Try drinking emblica juice every morning or lemon juice.

My aunt drank emblica juice and her hair went from shoulder length to lower back lenght.

A woman with extremely long hair told me if you get your hair cut on a full moon, it will grow faster, and another stylist I know swears by it. Haven't had a chance to test it out myself...

I've heard of a vitamin called Biotin, which is supposed to help hair be healthier. Weekly conditioning treatments help. And, finally... NIOXIN (or any other line for thinning/balding hair). It helps to clear up blocked hair folicles and let your hair grow.... However, I do believe it helps your hair grow faster. I've tried it, and did notice my hair grew faster. At first you might experience a weird feeling in your scalp, like parts of it are regaining feeling (like after frostbite kinda?). I got a set of shampoo, conditioner, and serum for like 10 bucks at Sally's Beauty Supply. Give it a try, and if it irritates your scalp, or doesn't work the way you want, give it to a balding male relative! hahaha

Oh! Also scalp massages! I don't know if it really works, but I do it anyway. Massage improves circulation, and circulation by the hair folicles would help hair grow faster, right? It can't hurt! haha
