really damaged hair! - October 28th 2009, 12:02 PM

Iv'e been peroxide blonde for about 4 years now.
And my hair is in terribile condition, iv'e tried to take good care out of it.
And always used good products, but i'm going back to my original colour now.

So i really need some help with how to get my hair back into good, soft and shiney condition before i go brunette.
So my hair doesn't look dry and horrible!

any products and just general ideas is great !

xx

Generally when I dye it a dark colour it makes my hair shiny and soft. It's only blonde that makes it go dry for me.

Anyway put lots of conditioner on it and leave it on for a few hours or even better get some hot oils to put on it or a hair mask.

I got some kind of hair wash (it wasn't labled shampoo) i think it was one of the salon kind of stuff I can't remember what it was because it was years ago. It was possibly Paul Mitchell or something like that it came in a little blackish bottle, and use really good conditiner i hope that works

Intensixe conditioning masks and hot oils can help, but cutting the damaged ends off will be much better for your hair. Try and take as much off as possible, it might be a lot, but your hair will grow back quickly.

Seriously? There's nothing you can do to make it shiney and soft again. You fried your hair by using blonde so much. I did my hair black and purple (also had to bleach out pieces for purple) and I'm trying to go back to my natural color so parts are really dark and some parts are kind of golden blonde... It doesn't look great, but I just have to deal.

My point is, you can use intensive conditioner, but you can't make your hair perfect again. You can use Tigi's "Dumb Blonde" Shampoo and Conditioner and that might help with your hair.
