How often do you wash your hair?

I'm just curious. I was brought up to wash it everyday. Also, I've dealt with psoriasis for about seven years now, and I'm thinking maybe the fact that I wash it everyday might have a factor in it. I'm thinking about cutting back on the amount of times I shampoo my hair. Of course, I'll still shower--I don't want to smell. xD

But how often do you wash your hair?
On a side note, how often do you shower? I swear my roommate only showers twice a week.

I was my hair every single time I shower. If I don't wash my hair my hair tends to get greasy and it looks gross. And I usually shower everyday unless I come home late and I'm too tired. Although when that happens I will usually take a shower in the morning before I go out again.

I shower everyday or I feel gross but my hair can go a day without being washed. If I wash my hair everyday it becomes excessively oily and looks like I HAVEN'T washed it in weeks. -____- So every other day I wash my hair. I always comb it instead of brushing it too because it really helps. Brushing it kills my hair. xP

I wash my hair every time I shower, which is every day. My hair gets greasy even by the end of the day, so skipping a wash makes me look homeless

Have you tried a special shampoo for your psoriasis? My Dad uses Neutrogena T Gel and I would recommend this.

My hair is dry so it can take a few days before it gets greasy. I wash it everyday during the school year but during summer I was my hair every other day so that it grows faster and is healthier. I still take showers everyday though.

i wash it everyday just to get my curls back after a night smooshing them. if im wearing my hair up or straight tho i can go up to 4 days without really needing to wash it. it all depends on your individual hair

ha, i probably wash mine the least out of everyone on on the thread - coz i use a wash out red hair dye - and i wanna keep it in as long as possable - so maybe once or twice a week - plus my hair never gets oilly - probably coz of all the hairspay i use tho - but my hair is very heathy the way it is - and i have to wear a shower cap in the shower and i look funny with it on,

- and i shower everyday but sometimes twice a day - coz i have school everyday - and on the weekends i have soccer and im goal keeper so my knees get super muddy ;/

I shower everyday, most days twice a day, and I wash my hair 6 days a week, I don't wash it on Sunday's unless I'm going out...

I wash it when I shower, which is every other day (as in I'll shower today, then again on Tuesday, then Thursday etc).

That's usually when it starts to get greasy so I wash it then. Sometimes I'll wash it a few days in a row, if it's hotter outside so I shower more, as I always wash my hair when in the shower.

I wash my hair everyday. At the weekend if I'm not doing anything I may have one day not washing it but that's it.

I also shower everyday but sometimes at different times to my hair washing since I tend to wash my hair at night but sometimes I fancy showering in the morning

I shower usually every morning unless I do something to need another shower. Everytime I shower I wash my hair. It runs in my family where hair gets oily fast so if I don't wash my hair everyday it would look gross. That's just me though. I know some people that wash their hair every other day because it's gets really dry if they do it everyday.

Well, and I feel really bad about it, but I wash my hair every time I shower, and I can only get 3 a month, 4 if I'm lucky or brave. We're poor, and we don't get hot water so basically it's ice cold showers and I just can't put myself through that a whole lot of times. I get at least two though because I can do the cold once a month, and my mom saves up her pay checks so we can go to a hotel and shower both days with hot water. It really sucks and I hate to admit it, but yeah... So I'm the girl that HAS to walk around with oily looking hair... And I dislike it but using the cold water every other day, I can't. I tried to take 2 a week, and I just can't, I can't even do 1 a week, my skin is sensitive and it hurts so bad because it's as cold as ice, like turning on a shower on cold without adjusting the temperature and using that the entire time. Sorry if it seems bad on my part but I really can't take cold showers often at all. So yeah, I shower whenever I can, and wash my hair every time I shower.

And about the psoriasis, the person who did my hair last time thinks I might have psoriasis on my scalp because she said my head looked like hers does when she has a flare up, she said baby shampoo and/or tea-tree oil is the best I wouldn't know from my own experience though, and she said don't use head and shoulders because if you stop, it gets 10x worse.

Every other day, I know people who started doing it every day and now they can't skip a day or it goes baaaaad :/ Didn't want to get too reliant on it so I just do it every two days

I shower every other day, and wash my hair every time I shower. I think that's pretty average - it's what most of my friends do :')

But I only use conditioner every other wash :')

I'm sorry about that, it sounds like it's hard. Have you tried dry shampoo? It's not too expensive, lasts ages, and can really stop your hair looking so greasey <3

I wash it every time I shower, which is almost every day. Probably 5-6 times a week. My hair actually looks better after a day of not showering, but I can't go longer or else I feel gross.

I wash my hair every day in the summer, because it gets greasy so easily in hot weather, but in the winter, I typically only wash it every other day, unless it really needs it.
