Good types of Hair dye? - October 13th 2011, 01:49 AM

Alright so I dyed my hair, trying to make it more blonde (It was like a dirty blonde) but it came out sort of orange tinted I guess. I don't like it and want to fix it, but I was wondering if anyone knows a good brand to use? I used L'oreal..
Also how long should I wait till I re dye it? It was my first time and my hair is in good condition..I was thinking like a week?
Alright I guess that's it, thanks! (:

What color was the dye you bought? I've used L'oreal before and it worked well for me. Maybe look for a dye with cool tones rather then warm tones to reduce an orange tint. Garnier makes good hair dyes that don't seem to damage my hair as much, but so far Feria has given me the best color.

Not sure if you have this in Canada but Schwarzkopf (spelling?) Live Colour XL. I use it all the time and my hair has never been healthier!

You could use Garnier 100% Colour. But, the problem is, you want something bright blonde, right? That involves A LOT of bleach, whether box dye or not.

I suggest you wait AT LEAST 2 weeks before re-dying it. If you re-dye your hair too quickly, it can actually break off. o_O
