Long hair to short? - March 1st 2012, 11:23 PM

Hey! So... I would like to change my hair. I have naturally very straight hair, so not matter what length it is, it likes to go very flat xD I also have a "cow lick" so even if I style my hair for AGES I still get a little tufty bit that won't go down, and it parts in the middle so I can't do much with a fringe.

I currently have long-ish layered hair, but I'd like to go a bit shorter. Like, maybe short enough to style and spike up. My hair dresser doesn't trust me with this. She doesn't believe I'd put the effort in to style it, but she still thinks of me as a bratty ten-year-old so I think she's being slightly biased.

Anyway, do you think it's a good idea to change my hairstyle, considering its straightness and that awkward tufty bit? I just don't want to do anything drastic before realising my hair might be a bit too stubborn for that kind of thing. If anyone has any experience they could share with me, that would be great.

So is your cow lick in the middle which is what causes you to need to part your hair in the middle? If not, when your hair is wet just part it wherever you want before it dries.
I think a good style for you is to get your hair razor cut so make it choppy. You could ask for some very short layers on top so you can style them if you wish, but can also leave down if you're having a lazy day.

And here you are living, despite it all.
