I got a a job - May 17th 2018, 06:33 PM

I was offered a job a few weeks ago and I went in to sign some stuff yesterday. I haven't been posting about it too much (mainly in the blogs) because I have been nervous about it falling through. It's unlikely to fall through at this point though.

The job is with a really good agency and it's an amazing opportunity. I have been so stressed out about finding a job that met all my needs and this agency does. This agency is one that I have wanted to get into for a long time but I didn't realize I could. I am amazed at this opportunity and quite excited.

This agency does a lot of good for people and my community. I am hoping to move into a different position sometime in the future. The position I am hoping for would be a perfect fit for me. However, the position I was hired for is still a good fit and I will still be able to help some people. I can't wait to see where my career and future leads me.

I definitely have a bit of anxiety but I am sure that is normal especially given the fact that I have been unable to work for a very long time. I know my activity with TH might decrease for a while; just until I figure out a schedule for work, TH and personal life.

There are so many reasons why this is an amazing opportunity but the biggest one is that I never thought I'd get here. I still think part of the reason I have made it this far is the support I've received from TH.

Anyway, I thought I would share, publicly, and also give a heads up if my activity decrease a bit. I have no plans to leave TH but I will likely have to adjust. I'll also be attempting to go back to school in August so there are a lot of big adjustments.

Congrats on getting the job. It sounds like you are going to enjoy it and that's good.

Hooray! I know you were job hunting for a while so it is great to see that this one is probably not going to fall through, and that it is at a good agency! I bet you'll do great.

Also good luck with returning to school! It's definitely an adjustment, but you've got this.

So happy to hear that the job is unlikely to fall through! It's definitely normal to be a bit anxious, but you can also think of it as excitement as it's a job that you are interested in. I'm sure that you'll do fine- congratulations again

I'm so glad to hear that you got a job! Congratulations. I know you've been looking for one for a while and I'm so happy that it finally paid off for you. Take as much time as you need to adjust to it, and best of luck with the new job and where it takes you.
