Deleting TeenHelp? - February 13th 2016, 05:59 AM

Hey
So I am not leaving or anything! lol I was just wondering. Can you delete your account? If so, when you delete your account on here does the posts stay in the forums? The reason I am asking, is because I've posted very personal stuff. Now I am worried that I might not be able to erase this stuff of the Internet. They were great and helpful and I hope some of my posts might help others in similar situations! Just if it comes down to it, I would like to know if I could completely erase everything..
Thanks!

You cannot delete your account or posts in the event that you regret submitting the information you posted. TeenHelp has never deleted posts or accounts for anyone. It says this in the terms you agreed to when you joined. I can quote it for you if you'd like. If it comes down to you want to leave and don't want to be associated with your account or your posts, you can remove all the personal information you have on your profile and use certain privacy settings so certain people can't see what you posted (like people not registered). Therefore no one can prove you posted anything on this account. Sorry, hope this helped.

Remember, once you post something on the internet, it's there. Even if TeenHelp gets shut down and you get "Server Not Found" when you attempt to load up the website, Google will still have it. Please be more careful with what you post in the future.

The best thing to do would be to remove details from your profile (like your name, location, anything else you might have filled in). If there are recent posts you might still have the option to edit the information out but I think that option goes away if the posts have been up for a while.

Seeing as this has been answered I'm going to close this thread now.
