Welcome

Basically, threads are made up of by posts. So you could also say that a lot of posts make up one thread.
So this thread is called "Post...Thread...Help", but within it, there are currently two posts--one by you, and one by me.

If you choose to see all threads someone has posted in, you won't necessarily see the specific thing they wrote (their post)--you'll see the whole big thing, beginning with starting poster and continuing on with everyone's reply. But if you choose to see all posts by someone, you'll see the individual things they have written in a thread.

I hope that made even a little bit of sense let me know if you need more clarification!

A thread is made up of many posts by different users. A thread is basically a topic where people can discuss using posts.

If you get it now, let me know

Yes thread is made by a specific person, and posts are usually on other peoples threads? If that makes sense haha

To throw in an example, this thread is "Post...Thread...Help." We've all made posts in your original thread. So, posts are like the parts to the whole, which is the thread. Also, just to add to what has already said, if you'd like to check out our guide to using the forums, that can be found here: How to Use the Forums. Also, we have a specific user group dedicated to answering questions like these and to making new users feel comfortable here - buddies...so, typically, if you have questions just really about TH and how to work your way around the site, they're good people to ask.

Let us know if this information clears things up!

You just created a thread by asking this question, and I created a post by replying.
