registering to vote -
April 20th 2010, 09:24 PM
So i'm currently living between houses- no fixed abode until my parents buy a home/ i move to uni. So basically, i spend most my time at my bf's/friends.
I'm 18 and want to vote- but how do i register as i have no address to register? Just one smile makes you think i'm happy... why won't just one tear make you realise i'm not? x

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but you can no longer register to vote in the 2010 elections. The registration deadline was 5pm today as far as I'm aware, and that was when they had to have received your form, so you should have really sent it yesterday by first class mail at the latest.

You might be already registered if you received a poll card to your parent's address. This would mean you have to vote there though.

Religion is like a penis. It's fine to have one. It's fine to be proud of it. But please don't whip it out in public and start waving it around. And PLEASE don't try and shove it down my throat. |

For me I had the option of pre-registering when I filled out my driving license application a few months before I turned eighteen. So it can be done at your local DMV I think, and the address that would be utilized would be the one on your ID card (I think your parents address most likely).
EDIT: Wait I see you aren't in the US. My error.

Yeah, just follow the instructions on the card, it'll tell you where you have to vote. Mine even has a map on it, though I'm not sure if that's the same for all councils, but I can imagine it would be.
