I've been wondering for a while if this is allowed. Whenever I use LiveHelp I tend to use my middle name as I normally want it to be anonymous. I don't actually think anyone here knows my middle name. I'm just wondering is this allowed? I'm not really pretending to be anyone else but I'm just hiding who I am.

I'm sure it's fine. I've put different names on LH in the past and I also know others who do this aswell and it's never been an issue.

I agree with Megan, I think it is just fine. (: Personally, I have never given anything other then my first name but I doubt it would be a problem.

A lot of the times I've gotten calls from users without names. Or that have been their usernames on here or 'anonymous'
I don't tend to use my real name if it's something I don't want people knowing. As long as you're not trolling the system with fake problems the name doesn't really matter.

I used to be a live help operator and it's completely fine to use a fake name, as long as it's not to cause trouble. Like nat said, we get quite a few users who even just write "anonymous"

it's totally fine to call yourself whatever you want--the name isn't important, what's important is that you're properly using the system (which you are)! I'm going to close this--if there are any questions or disagreements, shoot me a PM.
