Well to hold any staff position you have to be literate with good spelling and grammar, take this post for example, and I'm not doing this to be rude, I'm doing this to show you how to improve it as well as any other writing.
You said: Hi everyone. . Okay ive applyed for buddy five times already,. and the same time as everyother time i applied. i get back . because of spelling and grammer and my message being unclear. How could i solve this problem im having. What it should have said: Hi everyone. Okay, I've applied for buddy five times already. Every time I apply though, I get it back saying it was denied because of spelling, grammar, and my message being unclear. How can I solve this problem I'm having? You see, always capitalize those I's when necessary in I or I'm or I've, and don't forget those apostrophes either. Short sentences like "i get back ." don't work well. Instead you could have used a comma rather than a period there. Just read through what you post, check the grammar and spelling. If you have trouble with spelling, try typing a response you may use into a program like Microsoft Word, or even NotePad on Windows computers, and spell check it. Also don't forget correct punctuation, for example the last sentence in your post, "How could i solve this problem im having." Although you need to capitalize your I's, it's a question so it should end in a question mark, not a period. It's relatively easy mistakes to fix though, just pay attention to what you type, and type slower if you have to, there's nothing wrong with typing slower to get correct spelling, grammar, etc... It honestly takes practice. I was denied the very first time I applied first time I applied for staff because of that reason.
The key to this is, not only should you have good spelling in your application, but in every post/thread that you make. Pay close attention to your spelling, and where commas and period go. Also, pay attention to capitalizing and all that stuff. I would go read some avatar articles, because those have perfect spelling and grammar. It can help you. ![]() I was looking for a breath of life For a little touch of heavenly light But all the choirs in my head say, no oh oh |

It takes practice. You could try doing a spell check on what you've written. That might help you out a bit. Also think about your responses. Make sure you're saying everything you're meaning to say and it's relevant to what the question was that was asked. You don't have a time limit. You can take as long as you need to. After you're done with filling it out. Read back over it. That's a big one for me. I make a bunch of stupid mistakes when I'm writing so reading back over it is helpful.
I'm not saying that doing all these things is going to guarantee that you get accepted, but it will help. Goodluck

As the others have mentioned, it does take some practice. And like Kendi mentioned, take your time filling out your application. Whenever I apply for something I reread it over and over again. And during one of those rereadings I focus on just spelling/grammar/punctuation.
Also, I really don't mean to be rude/mean but since you're talking about your spelling/grammar/punctuation... I see two things wrong with your sentence. The 'i' in it shouldn't be capitalized (unless you use a period instead of a comma after all), and there shouldn't be an apostrophe in means. So in the end, you should write it like this: Thank you all. It means a lot to me. or... Thank you all, it means a lot to me. I wish you the best of luck next time when you're applying. Absolutely, to the part about taking one's time when filling out applications. Both my initial staff application and forum moderator application took me about 6 hours each to write. Do reflect on potential answers to questions thoroughly before putting the first thing that comes to mind down.
It saves the hassle and time of re-applying.

I don't want to sound rude or mean, but one other thing you have to watch out for is spaces where spaces aren't needed.
You put: Thank you , for your help, its much appreciated Instead, try: Thank you for your help. It's much appreciated. You don't need spaces between the last letter of the word and the comma, only between the comma and the next word. Also after any punctuation mark. Again, I apologize if I sounded rude. Best of luck in your next application!

I can imagine how much it sucks being denied. You don't have to be a buddy or staff to help people out, just remember that.
Everyone else pretty much gave excellent advice. Spelling, really pay attention to the questions, read over your whole application, don't use slang or text talk. Good luck.

Hey there,
It took me a while to get on staff the first time, I got rejected quite a lot. If your spelling and grammer is the problem then I suggest typing out your application on Word or something similar, that way you have something to check your spelling. Also, read out every sentence in your head and see if it makes sense to you. I hope this helps, don't give up trying, take care

I agree with everyone else. It just takes practice to improve your spelling and grammar, before you post try and double check what you've put and correct it if needs be and eventually you'll be doing it perfectly without any need to double check anything.
Good luck if you choose to apply again. Since this thread has been answered, I'm going to close the thread. If you have any other questions, feel free to PM me or create a new thread x
