BBC Breakfast - November 11th 2011, 09:55 AM

Okay so I didn't know whether to put this in announcements or here so I put it in here.

I am currently trying to get on BBC Breakfast which is broadcasted across the UK every morning , to try and raise awarness on SH and ED. If I do get a chance to get on the show anybody have anything they feel they want me to mention or any issues that need to be raised??

I am praying that I get on it because especially in England I feel that a large number of medical professionals don't always deal with these situations in the best way. Also I feel that parents don'e know how to approach their teens if they suspect that their son or daughter is self harming or has an eating disorder.

Many thanks and wish me luck

When your in danger or in harms way its no longer just your life, its everyone who you have seen, spoken to, met, shared experiences with because even if you don't think that they have had an influence on your life or made you realise something, you have probably influenced them. Your never the only one involved in your life.

Stereotypes. Stereotypes annoy me. Just because you aren't heavily underweight doesn't mean you don't have an ED. And just because you don't dress in black and have your hair in your eyes doesn't mean you don't cut. And vice versa. What I'm trying to say is things aren't always the way people think they are. Mostly due to stereotyping groups of people.

Good luck <3

Re: BBC Breakfast - November 14th 2011, 09:39 AM

Well i'd NOT try BBC breakfast. People don't want to hear about SH and ED over their cornflakes!

I suggest ITV This Morning because they go on later in the morning and do discuss issues. BBC Breakfast is BBC, Tv licence pays for it so they have to put things EVERYONE will tollerate.
