One year now. - January 7th 2009, 04:17 PM

Hey everone, I'm here to tell you about my sucess story! A year ago, I was really, really thin. I was far underweight and I looked very ill. My relationship with food was very unhealthy. I has lost a TON of weight, and I was then taken to the doctors to get back on the right path.

The first few months were hard, but I got through them. People were everywhere trying to help me, but it was hard for me to see it as help. Eventually I got back to a reasonably healthy weight.

After I got used to eating again, I decided I was still to skinny, and I wanted to make myself something better than I have ever been before. I began to eat more and more. Durring this time, I also took up weightlifting.

Fast forward 6 months, I now waigh over 1.5x what I was at my lightest and I'm feeling great! I get complimented on my looks often, and I agree with them, lol . I've gotten much faster and MUCH stronger. I am now a varsity Track member and part of our school's weightlifting team. My brain and focus is also back! I've been accepted to Georgia Tech, and life is looking bright.

So that's been my past year, lol. If I can get better, anyone can!

Wow, David, congratulations! Ramblin' wreck from Georgia Tech, eh? I hope you fair well at university, and I'm glad you're having such a great senior year [I'm assuming you're a senior]. It's amazing how a person can be feeling so upset about something and then start getting on the right track and picking themselves back up, brushing themselves off, and moving on. Please never let anyone stop you from sharing your story! I hope that things continue to go well for you and everything.

Haha! Thanks. I'm looking forward to it. Two favorite places, the gym and the lab. GT has both. Thanks.

You will have a bright and successful future. Good luck in all you do, David. With your strength and determination, noting is out of reach. Congratulations on all of your successes. May you face your future challenges with that very same will.

It's such an inspiration to read how far you have come, and by the sounds of it are still going! I might not know you, but just by reading your story I'm proud of your recovery and success and I wish you all the best with everything that is yet to come. I have no doubt that you are going to go far in life!

I'm glad to hear that you are doing better. It's amazing that you managed to beat that. And accepted into Georgia Tech. That's just stellar. :-)
