While TH was down, I did some thinking. I've decided I really don't need to cut anymore to cope with my problems because there really are better ways to cope with how I feel.

That said, I've been SH free for....

1 month, 5 days.

Good for me?

Yes, very very good for you! And also very good that you recognise that. Its a positive thing that you made a definate decision to stop cutting, and that you realise there are other ways to cope and to deal with things. I hope now TeenHelp is back up and running that you can find even more support and help here whenever you need a friend or a moan and you can carry on not self harming. Well done to you, you should be very proud of yourself.

Positive attitudes like that are going to get you a long way, it's so brilliant you've made this decision in your life, I bet you feel a great sense of achievement around this and so you should! Over a month self harm free is definitely something to be so happy about, we all know its not an easy thing to do, so well done you! I don't think I can make it that long =x
I'm beginning to think I was/am dependent on SH to survive
I'm loosing faith in myself over this
I think I traded SH for not eating,purging, so on... =\

First of all, yes, VERY good for you. VERY, VERY good for you. You're so strong for that and you can keep going so much further. Don't think you can't do this because you need that positive attitude. Keep reading all these posts and try to keep motivated ok? You CAN do this. I don't doubt this one bit. SH, it is something to steer you away from other things. But, you don't need it either way. If you want to talk about this at all, I'm here for you always. Take care <3
