Dream Like Things? - January 10th 2019, 04:22 PM

This might sound weird. Dreams but I'm semi awake and aware of my surroundings. It happens when I begin to sleep. I see faded visions of dreams and sometimes can feel the dream, that's a bit delayed. I don't think Its lucid because I couldn't control it.

So I don't know? Is this a thing there's experience?

I've had that. I'm partially dozing off so I'm in a state where I'm awake enough to be aware, but I'm also asleep enough that my mind's wandering off on its own somewhere else.

Life is for living, not for losing.

I've had similar experiences. I think it's kind of common to have weird dreams/visions and to feel/hear things when you are semi-sleeping but still kind of aware of that. I think it's called 'hypnagogia'

I've also had similar experiences. I'll often get that sensation of falling and "landing" on my bed when I'm beginning to drift off. It's definitely a good time.

Sounds like a microsleep. You're tired enough to doze off but your brain is still active. This happens to me every time I am on my back, either waiting to fall asleep or when I am beginning to wake up.

I have had something like this before. I consider myself to be in a "half asleep, half awake" type state. Usually I dream that I am falling and fully wake up because I've jumped or twitched so hard on the bed that it was enough to scare me.

I've had similar experience more than once. It's scary sometimes thinking about it.
