Sweet 16 theme?

My sweet 16 is coming up and I've been looking for a theme. My friend and I might have a joint party, but I'm not sure. I'm probably going to rent out a hall in my town. I'll have music and dancing, and I'd like the party to be semi formal, maybe. Any ideas on what the theme should be?

Lol, lucky you... On my last few years for birthdays I've either been kicked out/left the house/kicked out of the car.

Do a masquerade theme where everyone wears masks? Halloween is coming up anyways. Or you can do famous couples throughout history.

You could do a a theme where everyone has to dress up as someone from the decade you were born in! That's always fun
