After being dumped by her former lover, Polish dentist Anna Mackowiak put him to sleep with a massive dose of anesthetic, then extracted every last one of his teeth out.

"She then wrapped his jaw in bandages to prevent him from opening his mouth---and then simply walked away," Janathan Lemire of New York Daily News reported.

His new girlfriend dumped him soon afterward, too, because she din't want to be with a man without teeth.

Anna Mackowiak, the former girlfriend and hellish dentist, could face three years in jail due to medical malpractice.

She didn't kidnap him. He willingly asked to be treated by her.

Obviously, she did the wrong thing and definitely deserves to be punished for it. But this guy cheated on her, broke up with her, and then expected her to help him? He is either a complete idiot, a total jerk, or both. He put himself in a really stupid position, and I can only assume that his goal was to emotionally torture and upset his ex-girlfriend (no decent person would break up with someone and then ask for their help like that). He was practically asking for something like this to happen. Like I said, she did the wrong thing and deserves to be punished, but I can't say that I feel much sympathy towards him.

However, I would like to just point out, that if the genders had been reversed, and she cheated on him, and then asked to be treated by him, and he did something like that, or abused her sexually or something, and someone else said what you just said, there would be a shitstorm of epic proportions.

If my girlfriend cheats on me, I have absolutely no right to physically harm her just as she had zero right to physically harm him.

Domestic violence PLUS assault in the United States can be in jail as little as a few days and as much as a couple of years, depending on severity. This is Poland, and it's looking like three years, although she is getting investigated for malpractice, so it might add on from there. I'm not sure how much of this is a gender issue, since it's looking like she's going to be charged the same as if a man here severely assaulted his partner. Sure, she pulled out all his teeth. In the US, that would probably be more of a lawsuit for pain and suffering, and for the charges of all the dental work (I'm not sure how Poland handles those kinds of things) but the assault being the same as beating somebody unconscious. I think this would be just as severe if it was opposite, assaults are not taken seriously enough IN GENERAL, not just for men.

I'm not saying that assaults on men are always treated equally as women's. Admittingly, when a man is assaulted, especially sexually assaulted by a woman, it is very often not taken as seriously. I just don't buy this being an example of that. She's already looking at three years, plus malpractice. It's going to be as much as a man would.
