Scared of LQP-79 "Zombie Virus" recent news.

I know all of the Miami Cannibal stuff sound like old news but I am still freaked out becasue of this website lqpvirus.com (search on google or type it in because I can't post links until I've posted 10 forum posts)

It has lots of new info that they release every few days and most people on the website are saying it wasn't bath salts and that there's flesh eating bacteria in lots of fresh water. This stuff freaks me out and they all say THE END IS NEAR. That kind of stuff freaks me out and I just don't want to hear it but I'm always so tempted to go back and read more because I know there's new stuff. Anything that can disprove any of the news on that website would be great. Please help out because I've been shaky and paranoid for the last like 3 or 4 weeks since this has happened. And it's called "Centers For Disease Deterrence [CDD]" but I know that the real organization is Center for Disease Control [CDC] and they have a wikipedia page that I'm pretty sure was made by the people of the website because the only references are from lqpvirus.com and if you search Centers for Diease Deterrence those are the only results that you get.

If this article is worrying you this much, then I wouldn't go read it anymore. You can't always believe everything that you read on the internet, and these articles tend to have extensive hyperboles and exaggerations.

It's probably just a conspiracy theory like everyone else said, I mean maybe it is, but the chances of it being that are so slim, and everyone knows about bath salts and the shit it can cause people to do. That stuff is insane in a very bad way and people are just looking for ways to say "THE ZOMBIE APOCOLYPSE IS COMINGGGG!!!!!!!" When really, it probably isn't, at least not right now, and if it oh well, the conspiracy theorists were right and the others wrong, but intil then I'd go with what we have heard from the news, iunstead of an not so trustworthy website.

If a virus can induce cravings for certain (non)foods, and thereby induce an overwhelming urge to cannibalise another, the virus would've most likely spread further than the reports of just one man. I'm skeptical of other news articles, because the source of the spread seems to be the Miami Bath Salt Cannibal.

If you're going to trust a news article, trust the initial article that started the rumour. Anything after that can be either fear induced or some crazy prank preying on the fame of the initial article. If you're going to trust the INITIAL article, then you'd be an idiot. It's been proven false, and was merely a prank. Does that not make you a little skeptical about the articles that followed?

Also realize this, the original article was popular. It brought in views, started trending across the internet, got huge amouts of television coverage, etcetera.

It was a goldmine.

Now, things like this case have always been happening. It was a single man who attacked two people. In the "big picture" it's not really all that newsworthy. However the article was well written to build suspense and as a result brought in a lot of money.

Now, if you see someone bringing in money on this, wouldn't you start seaching for similair stories to report on? Once the newsrooms know that a certain type of story is popular they are going to keep reporting on similair cases. Things like this happen quite regularly, however they're just being reported on more now.

Gale: Not necessarily true. Although it won't turn you into a painless monster seeking only human flesh, there are multiple dieases that can make the host agressive towards others. For one example, human rabies.

However, worrying about contracting such dieases will not help. If anything, stress makes you more suceptible to diease. Most serious disorders (such as rabies.) do have cures.

It's a conspiracy theory and nothing more. All recent cases of violent, cannibalistic behavior have been traced back to bath salts. The FDA has now banned the drug and are looking at the banning of other synthetic drugs as well.

The whole cannibal thing in Miami was caused from bad drugs. Not a virus.

No reason to freak out, if you take a look at this thread you'll learn that he has schizophrenia. That was probably one of the main causes for the attack. There's no virus.
