Apartment Residents Told To Take Down U.S. Flags. - October 14th 2009, 12:30 AM

Residents of the Oaks Apartments in Albany have reportedly been told to take down their flags. Even this one, on the back of a motorcycle, is part of the reported ban.
everyone living there should just move out for violations on managements behalf.

That's ridiculous. If you're going to be offended by someone flying their own flag in their own country, then it's time for you to leave.

Often I lie wide awake, thinking of things I could make.
But I donít seem to have the parts to build them.
I am so scared of what will kill me in the end, for I am not prepared.
I hope I will get the chance to be someone, to be human.

We're told the ban includes sports flags and even flag stickers on cars.
Not just the U.S flags, but all. Which is fairish enough, it's their place, their rules. Curious to know what they've got against flags though one of them could be that they can incite violence and hatred. And no, not talking about the U.S flag was actually thinking more of the sports ones... Maybe the management just doesn't want any trouble occuring on their grounds?

I'm guessing management's latest AGM included the following conversation:

"We've got to stop Charlie Baker flying swastikas from his window!"
"Yeah, but if we ban swastikas we'll have neo-nazis firebombing the flats..."
"So ban German flags?"
"Too specific. How about foreign flags?"
"We'll scare off those Spanish students in Block B."
"Hey, I know. How about we ban any flag whatsoever?"

This is what happens when people don't step back...
