This is a little odd for me. I'm quite a skeptical person and, while I am vaguely intrigued by the occult, I can't say I know much about it or really believe in it. Anyway, I have a friend (who claims to have some kind of paranormal ability) who finds me fascinating. Apparently I have the brightest and most complex aura she has ever seen. What is also strange that recently she has been unable to look me in the eye because I apparently send her powerful "vibes". She also compared me to an angel because she said it seems like I'm not really there.

Usually I would think it was all nonsense but she really does seem to be in genuine pain whenever I look directly at her (which I feel bad about because I obviously don't want to cause her any pain). I honestly do not believe she is making this up since she tells others about me and does so with the utmost conviction. I find it odd that I of all people could seem so "spiritual" as she put it, since I am an atheist and a natural skeptic. Nevertheless I find it very intriguing. Does anyone know anything about this?

there are many people out there that just have a kind of presence/aura that is hard to ignore, apparently youre one of them! congratulations! haha.
im not really sure how to stop your friend from getting hurt though unless you do what people call "shielding". Its basically a protective layer around you and your energy and might help. like if its raining outside, you put on a rain coat to protect you from the rain. Basically imagine yourself surrounded by light. White is a good "clean" color to try, and see if your friend picks up on if youre trying to do anything, then if that does anything, try other colors and see which one she thinks is less painful for her to be around.

just out of curiosity, what color(s) did your friend say your aura was?

I think it's a very bright white aura but I'm not sure. All she says is that it's very bright and complex. I don't know if that helps...

I just want to add, that I've had 2 friends pretend to have "psychic" powers and be able to see auras etc. and they both turned out to be very convincing liars.
I'm not saying your friend is lying or making this up, I just want you to be cautious because I was pulled into this and I know it can be really tough when someone you really trust lies to you and you believe them.

I'm going to second this. I really see two likely possibilities here. Either your friend is lying or your friend is delusional. Either way, best to not put too much stock in what they have to say.

I'm not going to say it's true or false, but be skeptical. As an Occult practitioner, I can tell you that skepticism is the best policy when approaching the Occult, but be open minded about it.

I've read a little about auras before, and I have had a couple of people comment on mine as being quite vibrant and powerful, although no one's gone so far as to call me an "angel." In fact, I would be quite put off if they did, but that's not the point.

I remain quite skeptical about auras and anything to do with the occult or psychic abilities. I'm not going to rule out the possibility that there may be some truth to it, but I wouldn't go so far as to pay for someone to do a reading or anything. I believe there are a few people out there with very gifted abilities in things like this, but it's rare and not something I would pursue finding.

Besides, even if your friend CAN see auras (which, again, is probably something to be skeptical about), the color she sees around you is nothing good or angelic. Bright white auras apparently mean you are near death (just google "Aura Color Meanings" and you will find it). However, maybe she does mean something else, which would probably fit better with your description.

If you ever want a little bit of fictional fun reading about Auras and people, read Stephen King's book "Insomnia." Maybe you will find it interesting.
