Hello I'm austin. One of my friends recommended this site to me and it seems like a helpful and welcoming place thus far I came here for help with a lot of things.. but I'm not to big on sharing with "everyone" aka making threads.
So hi
I'm glad you made a thread!
I think that it's okay that you're a bit uncomfortable with sharing right now and I don't think you necessarily have to make tons of threads or spill your life story all at once. Maybe get used to the site and how it operates and then go from there? Or maybe you can start small, posting maybe in the chattier forums first and then build up?
We also now have the option of anonymous posting, if that helps.
Hey Austin, welcome to TeenHelp! It's lovely to hear that your friend recommended you come check us out and that you already like what you see. Totally understand that you might not want to share everything with everyone, and agree with the suggestions made above. You are also welcome to use Live Help and HelpLINK, places that are a bit more private than the forums. See you around
Hey Austin, welcome to TeenHelp! It's ok if you are feeling uncomfortable about sharing things, that's absolutely not a requirement on here. I hope to see you around.
You don't have to share anything you don't want to, but if you do then just do so at your own pace. Most things that are very personal are super uncomfortable to share, but I feel it can worth it. Anonymous or not, I'm sure there'd be people who can related to your situation and how you feel. I encourage you to share as getting support is a good thing, but there's no time frame or requirements on what you share and when.
I also agree with the chattier forums - Chit-Chat in particular. It's pretty fun and one of my favorite places.
Annnnyhow, please let me know if you have any questions! Hope I get to see you around sometime.
“There is nothing beautiful about the wreckage of a human being.
There is nothing pretty about damage, about pain, about heartache.
What is beautiful is their strength, their resilience, their fortitude
as they display an ocean of courage when they pick through the
wreckage of their life to build something beautiful brand new,
against every odd that is stacked against them.” — Nikita Gill
Sharing can be hard and there is no pressure for you to share if you do not feel comfortable doing so. If you do feel like you'd like support or like to share but don't want to post on the Forums you could utilize HelpLINK. That is a private area of the site where only a certain group of staff members (HelpLINK Mentors) will see what you post. You can also submit a HelpLINK ticket anonymously.
Please know that we are here and are looking forward to getting to know you.
Hey there, welcome to TeenHelp! This is a great community with a lot of good people and I'm sure you'll be able to fit right in. Feel free to post what's on your mind in threads or blogs- that's a great way to meet people and make friends.
Feel free to PM me if you ever need anything!

Resilient
1. (of a person or animal) able to withstand or recover quickly from difficult conditions.
2. (of a substance or object) able to recoil or spring back into shape after bending, stretching, or being compressed.
We all possess resilience, we just need to realize it.
