Suggestions for an art project?? - May 18th 2009, 10:35 PM

Hey everybodyy =]

For our final project we're doing a charcoal drawing and I have a problem drawing anything she tells me to draw. She handed me a picture of pumpkins today. I was like no thanks. I have to draw meaningful pictures.

So if anyone has a strong picture or meaningful picture that would be a good charcoal drawing, or a suggestion, could you post it?

Thankss a lot =]

How about a boat leaving the shore with a women in some type of unique clothing?

A globe with caution tape stuck all over it. (As to represent the danger of the world)

A wine glass with needles or razor blades in it. (As to show the effects of alcohol)

Can it be anything? Or does it have to be a still life type deal?
And what size paper are you using?

I think doing a set of eyes... would be really cool in charcoal.
Not the whole face, just the eyes. Like the territory from temple to temple.

You could even do your own. I think something like that would have a lot of meaning.

Whatever you end up doing, you should post it here! I'm anxious to see the outcome!

Those are some really cool ideas, but in my opinion a little difficult for charcoal drawing. Probably really cool for painting though!

I love portraits in charcoal. You could do a close friend, hero, family member or yourself.

wow those are all really good.

I think I'm gonna go with the eyes, and I'll deff post the outcome.

I liked the caution tape and the earth one. really good idea, it would be a good painting.

size of paper is optional, our teacher is having some kids do it on 8 by 10, and some on 12 by 14 or 13 i think.

I was thinking of taking a picture of my hand reaching for someone else's, it might be cliche or whatever, but I think it would be meaningful.
