Pretty Little Thing - November 24th 2018, 12:13 AM

This thread has been labeled as triggering by the original poster or by a Moderator. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

Oh Pretty Little Thing,
Who stands looking in the mirror.
Do you make promises to eat less and purge?

They will make sure you eat and smile when you do,
But little do they know,
That amidst your shadowy lair,
You sit there and smile at your beautiful creation.

Oh Pretty Little Thing,
With the crimson letters.
Do you cry yourself to sleep?

While they tell you it gets better,
You stand alone,
In your home sweet homestead,
And imagine a still figure swinging.

Oh Pretty Little Thing,
With the masked smile.
Do you like playing pretend?

You play house and smile that beautiful smile,
But behind closed doors,
And in the darkest parts of your heart,
You feel so alone.

Oh Pretty Little Thing,
Whose laugh echos.
How much longer do you have?

They think you're perfectly fine,
And go on with their day,
But would they notice,
If another flower wilted away?

When the world drags you down, roll over and smell the roses.

I like how you started some lines with "oh pretty little thing."

I really like this Aiyannah. I especially like when you say about putting on that smile and then really feeling alone and hurting inside. That is me in a nutshell.
