Walls, Walls, and more walls Fence to keep you trapped in A place where stress is a following river Competing in this game some don’t want to play They say they encourage young hearts and minds Why do the young call it prison? They say they want individuality But they really want everyone to be in the same mold As everyone else Most of the dull classrooms have very little color Some have blinds that are closed so No natural light The times you have to be outside is when the freedom bell rings To change class And lunch Can’t it be mandatory to have class outside? …… Have you ever heard the music of the halls? “I’ve got some much work I am going to shoot myself So and so have a 4.5 and I have a 4.0 I am so stupid” No one understands the meaning of poor grades here in prison If you have low grades you are made fun of.  believe it or not I got suspended from school for writing this poem and a teacher saw it and shared it. I know I like it.
