meow!(aka the cat poem) - December 29th 2011, 06:52 AM

for those of you who are looking for a funny poem, its not funny xD but very cat-ish for those who like cats like me. and happy early new year cos ill be away.

A striped tabby tail bobbed up and down
in the grass that was tall and over grown
swift as a snake, the young cat padded silently
to her silver sister, who was thrashing violently

the tabby mewed her sisters name
and said "why did you play that stupid game
chasing that little human's toy mice
got you in something not half as nice."

She pulled a bramble out of her sisters fur,
the silver cat was like a lizard caught in burrs
"I thought that mouse was real" she rasped
in her eyes were the annoyance of an angry wasp

once the thorns and brambles were all gone,
the two littermates broke off in a run
the tabby sister sprinted upa tree
yowling "i'll get that squirrel before you can count to 3!"
Her silver sister sniffed the air
and found an enemy lurking there
she warned her sister in a whisper
who frowned and twitched a whisker

A pair of icy blue eyes shot through the atmosphere
the silver sister stumbled back in surprise and fear
the tabby cat was quick to act,
leaping onto the dark enemy's back
the blak tom yowled in pain
and sreeched "I wont steal your prey again!"
the tabby sister now shot out with a ninjas invisibility
amber eyes flared with hostility

"Youd better not." she spat
"Or I'll never let you forget 'bout that"
she gave the jet black tail one last nip
and set the tom free to flee and lim

"Now to lighten up the day,
I smell a vole, over that way"
The silver sister waved her tail
at the vole away she sailed

like a lion, she gave the vole a killing bite
and heaved the prey on her back with all her might
she said to her sister "here is lunch"
her sister mewed ,"thanks a bunch"

they were like aligators that had not ate in months
and they bit down with a gigantic munch
the tabby sister, mouth full of prey
mewed "i wish we had plump voles like this every day"

HAHAH AW. I love this! And it's well written and charming Good work.

"Once a little boy sent me a charming card with a little drawing on it. I loved it.
I sent him a card and I drew a picture of a Wild Thing on it. I wrote,
“Dear Jim: I loved your card.”
Then I got a letter back from his mother and she said, “Jim loved your card so much he ate it.”
That to me was one of the highest compliments I’ve ever received. He didn’t care that it was an original Maurice Sendak drawing or anything.
He saw it, he loved it, he ate it."

Very cute! I love cats! Do you read the Warriors series by Erin Hunter? This poem reminds me of that!

Good job!
