I totally saw the Photograph contest and totally forgot I'm running the Poetry contest. LOL.

I got a job after being laid off a year ago, and am still trying to record and write for my up-coming mix-tape I'm producing. Also have an idea for another mix-tape (I'm probably getting ahead of myself.) AND I'M RAMBLING.

HOW TO ENTER


The way you enter the contest is, Private Message Autumnwind your piece you would like to enter for the contest. You CAN be anonymous if you want to be. So please state weather or not you want to be anonymous. Then, if you want, try and put weather or not you're participating in this thread. For 1, to bump it so others can see. For 2, to show others there are people joining to make them feel more comfortable.

Rules:


Only Poetry can be Submitted

Each Contestant MUST submit 3 poems.

Designate which piece will be in the first round, second round, and third round.

EX: "Daughter" - 1 | "Too Late" - 2 | "Blunt Objection" - 3

Winners will be decided by Teen Help.

I would like if you made new pieces, but old pieces would do fine I'd just like something I've never read before =p

Teen-help, please consider these rulings below if you're voting on someones piece. I would like to keep all biased opinions out of this contest, as I want this to be as fair as possible. Thank you for understanding

Creativeness: (Be creative, about the story you're trying to tell, how you tell it, and the way you write.)

Length: (Don't be too long, or too short. Is what she said? Meaning if it's 2 lines, make sure it tells the whole story and packs a punch. IF it's 100 lines, make sure it tells the story and not too much more, and packs a punch!)

Detail / Descriptiveness: (Using big words, small words, how you use your words, what pictures you paint, stuff like that.)

Use of Rhyming or Flow: (Weather you like to Rhyme or not, just make sure it flows well together or sounds good. )

Interest: (I don't lose interest easily, so I probably wont with how many talented writers there are on this site =p but make sure it grabs the reader. And if it makes me go "Wow" then that would be amazing! )

TopicMake sure to stay on topic! I would hate to try and read back and forth just to stay on topic =p)

Reason why I'm doing this? For fun. I would love to read more and more poetry, and this would evoke all of you to write more poetry, more than you already do. It'l give you a chance to sharpen your skills on the pencil / pen, and just have a good 'ol community time

Rounds:

There will be three rounds to this competition.

Round 1

Competition Round: Each poet will submit their pieces to Autumnwind, Autumnwind will then make a thread containing the pieces and giving the members of Teen Help the ability to vote for their favorite piece.

Round 2

Semi-Final Round: Autumnwind will make another thread containing the second round poems. He will then count, as best as he can, all the votes from the first and second round and add them together as your final score.

Round 3

Final Round: Same as the second round. Autumnwind will make another thread containing round 3 poems. He will count all the votes and that will be your final score.

There will be no prizes in this poetry contest, as I don't know how big it will get. But I would love to initiate prizes (you know, like a million dollars, a car, and a house or 2!) [Just kidding, seriously. Small prizes people!], and would love to get y'alls ideas of what prizes SHOULD be offered in this competition! Friendly prizes.

The topic for this months contest is....Random! Pick anything you want. Any little thing you want. I'd love to see your creativeness radiate off of this month! Usually I will pick a topic (or we'll vote for 1) and we will continue on with the competition!
