Clarification

[SIZE="a"]So this is just something I’m a little confused about, and I feel a little dumb for asking. What does it mean when someone says “you should’ve swallowed” to a pregnant woman/mother? Swallowing has nothing to do with getting pregnant, so is this just a common misconception or is it just a phrase people use or does it actually refer to something else?

I’ve seen it a couple times and am trying to understand what it’s refering to.[/size]

It basically means the person shouldn't have gotten pregnant. By saying that phrase they are saying they shouldn't have conceived because swallowing or oral sex does not lead to pregnancy.

A lot of people will also say 'your mother should have swallowed' which means your mother shouldn't have had sex and allowed herself to get pregnant.

It's not a nice thing to say in my opinion.
