Missed starting my new pack of pills. . . -

I've been on the pill for a month and i took my white reminder pills but i got my new box of pills late. i was supposed to start my new pack sunday and it's wednesday, i started my period last saturday. if i'm still on my period, does this mean i have to wait until my next period to start my new pack or can i take it this sunday since my period started right before sunday?? I have also heard you can take it within five days, but i'm not sure about that.
HELP!! |

well it probably depends on the pill and i bet your pill has a website. check out the site and it might have instructions for something like that

Agh.
The pill confused the hell out of me the first few months. |: If it's a 21 day pill- You finish the pack (Taking ONE around the same time everyday.) Once you finish the pack you stop for 7 days, even if you're still on your period on the 7th day, you still take your pill, eventually it will stop the period & things will go back to the way they were. The fact that you're a day late won't really change anything unless you've had unprotected sex in between .. Don't wait for your period to be gone to take it in future though, 7th day. (: Amy.x |

usually they instruct you to wait until you have been taking the pill for 7 days consecutively to have sex without some other form of protection (condom). just a warning =P
