Female Advice Preferred: Masturbation

To all girls out there, I have been wondering and does every girl masturbate or is it a minority who do?
Im a boy and it was just a trail of thought that lead me here...

It's different for everybody I'm sure a great percent of the human population does masterbate at some point in their lives even baby's touch themselves to learn about their body which is why sometimes you see the odd toddler running around with his or her hand in his or her pants. Some girl like it. Some girls don't but I think it's safe to say that alot of us do.

My friend told me that 75% of girls masturbate, but only 25% of them admit that they do. I have no idea if those statistics are accurate or not, but in my opinion they sound about right.

Not every girl masturbates, but a good majority of girls masturbate. It's more common among girls than guys think it is.

there are very few things that everyone does ( breath is one) but most girl masturbate in there life at lest once if not a few times a week. I do have to say it seems like guys do so more often but really i think as many girls do as what guys do

Exactly. I think it's just a private kind of thing for a lot of people... Mostly girls, I would assume... At least here, guys talk about it all the time. Girls? Not so much.

I don't know exact numbers but studies show that over half of girls and women masturbate and that the majority of them do so before they are 18.

Yeah, the majority of girls do. I know only about two girls that haven't. Or at least, say they haven't.

I haven't. And seeing as the Catholic church is strictly against it, and a lot of people take the church VERY seriously, I should think that a lot of other girls haven't either.

How many girls (and women) follow the teachings of the church to the T? Very, very few. Do you think every Catholic female "loves her neighbor as she loves herself"? I doubt it. And, why should the Catholic church care what someone does in his/her privacy? It shouldn't. Nobody should have that authority over anyone else.

I really don't think many people take the church nearly as seriously as you say.

There is no direct reference to masturbation in the bible, and some Catholics even believe that having a self-stimulated orgasm brings them closer to god. Other staunch believers think that it separates them from god because it doesn't bring them closer to it. Eating doesn't bring you closer to god. Neither does getting dressed in the morning. But that doesn't make them bad actions.

Most women I know masturbate, so going off of my own limited knowledge, I would venture to say that a good percentage of women do.

I done since age 13 but never told anyone but my mum knows cos she saw by accident cos my door has no lock. Nobody would ever have know otherwise.

My stepbrother does i think - i walked past his room at night and he was making noises that wet things make and his bed springs moved fast.

If he was alone, most likely, but by the sounds of it, sounds like he was having sex with someone, not himself.

I masturbate almost daily when I get the chance too. There are times when I simply don't find the time.

In truth, I believe that a lot of girls and woman do, but some girls are afraid to admit they have for fear of judgement (that's part of our down falls girls!). As for me, I'm basically an open book, and am not afraid to talk about sex.

As for the Church going girl, we understand that you follow the Church and all that it has to offer, but not EVERYONE does or has to follow it. A male friend of mine is very into his church, but is not a virgin. God is not going to judge you for masturbating or having sex. There is a reason why it's there in the first place.

I was thinking it was a sin at first so i only did it when i put lotion on after my shower so it was like disguising it with 'i must lotion my bottom now' and so its not really 'doing it'. but how i do not fear the sin.

Actually since girls are able to do it their whole lives (whereas boys have to come to puberty first) a lot of girls start really young! Girls as young as 3 have been found masturbating and it's perfectly normal, although they need to be taught a thing or two about privacy asap if this happens!

when do boys start having sperm come out like 13? i am keeping my virginity but ive seen my boyfriend lose control of his sperm. during a cuddling session next to the pool at his house.

I suppose that it depends on you and your personal beliefs (the sin part)...

I personally think that it's a perfectly healthy and natural thing to masturbate. Unfortunately, there is a religious stigma that goes along with most sexual things, and a social stigma that goes along with many sexual things as related to females. My rule of thumb? If you're not hurting yourself or anyone else... go for it [: But that's not to say that it can't be a little bit (or, rather) embarrassing, to be walked in on

As for the sperm question, boys go through/start puberty between the ages of 9 and 14, during which time they begin producing semen.

Also... guys ejaculate when they're sexually aroused... it's not really something that most people can control... it's just a natural, healthy and involuntary physical reaction.

As others have said, I think most girls do, but society is less accepting of that than it is of male masturbation. Which is crap. But that's off-topic, haha.

Why is masturbation a sin? That's completely irrational.
