Mom blows off my getting on birth control,CAN ANYONE HELP?

i have talked to my mom about getting on birth control but each time she blows it off saying, u just need to lose weight. what she doesn't understand is that as soon as i started my period it was irregular as fuck. help! does weight affect your period? i haven't had a real period in about a year and a half. i have spotting irregularly but nothing else. I'm a virgin and don't plan on being sexually active anytime soon unless i meet a guy i want to lose my virginity to. can anyone help? does weight affect periods? how do i ask her? HELP!!

You might just need to go over her head and go to a clinic in your town/city by yourself you don't need your parents to get birth control and the doctors won't tell them unless you want her/him to. Or you could ask auntie, older sister, grandma or some other older female in your family maybe? where i live some types of birthcontrol you have to pay a certain amount a month but usually it doesnt cost anything depending on the healthcare you have or welfare.

Yes, your weight can affect your periods so that it becomes irregular. You should go to your doctor to see if your weight is that much of a concern for you. He can prescribe you birth control as well. Two birds with one stone, yeah?
