My periods used to be like this. This could be something leading up to your period, if this isn't how it normally is. If you're terribly worried, see a doctor! But it doesn't seem too out of the ordinary. The only thing you may want to question is that if you've been sexually active, this could be the kind of spotting that happens during pregnancy, but if you haven't been sexually active this month, it doesn't sound too worrysome. (somebody more smart with pregnancy, please correct me if I'm wrong)

It's most likely your period. Sometimes periods simply look and feel different than we expect them to, especially if we are used to certain symptoms or appearance. It could be based on hormones, stress, other bodily changes, you name it, but it does happen. I wouldn't be alarmed by it, especially if it's near the usual time of the month and it lasts roughly the same number of days, though keep in mind this might be shorter or longer depending on the flow. If you are still concerned, however, you can always check with your doctor.

Its normal, I've had this as well. It will change in a day or so to become your regular period.

Completely normal. I googled this and read about it when it happened to me, hehe.
Basically what it is, is your body cleansing itself and getting rid of the build up of old blood/lining that has accumulated from past periods. It's not harmful, and will gradually get more red (instead of dark brown) until you have your period. Speaking from personal experience there. |
