Symptoms of pregnancyŚ two tests say negative? - May 27th 2014, 11:14 PM

So long story short: i'm sixteen. In march, i had my period then six days later had sex with my then boyfriend.
I'm having some symptoms of pregnancy that i today realized have been going on for around 3 weeks.
I havent had my period since March, i'm nauseous on most mornings (no vomiting though) cravings (mostly for chocolate, nothing abnormal), frequent headaches and cramps. Also about a week after sex i had spotting which i read that if youre pregnant is called implantation bleeding.
I took two tests today during lunch, both riteaid brand, both said negative.
So whats up with these symptoms? Why havent i had my period?
Thanks in advanced!

It could just be stress and you over thinking things. It has been long enough that the tests would give you an accurate result. You are not pregnant. If you don't get your period by next month I would advise you to see your general physician. Tell them everything you told us, they should be able to find out if something more serious is going on.

Hey there,

There are a number of factors that can cause a period to come late. I know there was a period of time that I was late on my period and it was most likely due to stress. If you are late on your period within the next month or so you should consider going to the doctor and explaining to them everything that you have told us so that they can help you figure out if there is more going on.

I hope that this helped and I am wishing you the best of luck.

Stress can cause a delay in your period and if you've been worrying since March then it's bound to have an effect. If you've taken two pregnancy tests and they've both come back negative, then chances are that's correct.

If you're still worried, you can go and speak with your doctor. They could do a definitive test to make sure you're not pregnant. They could also advise on some birth control that could regulate your periods and protect your from pregnancy.
