Female Advice Preferred: The Condom Broke! :(

My boyfriend and I had intercourse and we always have protected sex using a condom. However, not knowing, it broke suddenly. My private area began to hurt during the intercourse, but I didn't really know why, but I ignored it. After he finished, he got up and in shock, it broke. I didn't even feel anything when he finished. I was so scared. He immediately got his mother and we told her we've had intercourse protected, but it broke. Fortunately, his mother was understanding and went to a nearby clinic ASAP. She bought the morning after pill. I took Dramamine and waited for an hour and then took the pill soon afterwards. I'm really scared and was curious if anyone had to go through this as well? We're both 16 and I'm definitely not ready for a baby yet and neither is my boyfriend. Do you think this will be very effective?

Don't worry, you did exactly the right thing. I'm glad your boyfriend's mother was understanding and level-headed enough to go get you Plan B. Plan B is usually pretty effective when taken ASAP (under 72 hours, the sooner the better), so you should try and relax and also look into getting on another form of birth control to prevent future accidents.

ur fine, u should get on bc if u do it regularily, its great for me. theres alot of stuff besides the pill and some of it is easy and great for if u have sex in the relationship

Yeah, you should be fine, you did the right thing. You're lucky his mum was so understanding!! Have you considered using other methods of contraception??

I'm glad I'm going to be fine. My boyfriend and I decided to throw all the condoms away and wait on intercourse until we're at least legal (18 at most). So, we will not use any contraceptions for a long time. Thank you so much everyone!
