I had protected sex with my fiancée but he's rather larger than most guys so condoms don't fit him very well at all. The fact of the matter is we ran out of condoms so we used some of a different make and size. I dont think it split but I do think that the sperm could have leaked from the base of the condom? When he pulled out there was sperm all up the inside edges of the condom right up to the top. I wasn't really bothered at the time as Ive been using just condoms since I was 16 and never had a problem before. My periods have always been as regular as clockwork and I was due on the 28th of October but nothing. I have no symptoms of pms none of the usual Pre period signs like craving chocolate or greasy hair or spots. I keep falling asleep everywhere though and bursting into tears at the weirdest of things, my mood swings are horrific and i keep gettng awful headaches that make my eyes water. I'm not stressing either I'm weirdly calm about it, he's freaking out but says if I am it doesn't change anything. I did a home pregnancy test on Saturday but it came back negative so I thought it would be okay and that im not pregnant but low and behold here I am 3 days later and still nothing. What is the likelihood I am pregnant? And can a home pregnancy test ever be wrong?

Home pregnancy tests can be wrong (everything has a margin for error calculated in its percentage of effectiveness), but most of the time they aren't if the instructions are followed. If you took a pregnancy test and it came out negative it means you probably aren't pregnant, but if you still haven't gotten your period in another week or two you can always take another one.

Sometimes the body just does weird things. If it's any consolation I was once 17 days late and I was not pregnant, so it is possible to be super late and not be pregnant. Like I said, though, you can always take another test in a week or two if you are worried.

Okay so I got another negative result then started getting cramps. Midday what felt like my period started but I'm normally consistently heavy and this is so light I don't even need a pad. It's like the end of my cycle not the start... Should I be concerned?

If you've gotten another negative test, it's likely that you aren't pregnant.

Are you consistently heavy from the start of your period? Try waiting a few days to see if it turns out to be your period. Sometimes my period starts out this light but gets heavier in a day's time. If it does not happen to be your period, you may want to visit your doctor to see what's up.

I agree with Angel, if you've gotten 2 negatives you probably aren't. Last month my period was 10 days late, and wasn't it's usual flow and even lasted fewer days than usual.
I didn't have any PMS leading up to the period at all.

If things don't get any more normal though, you may as well see a doctor just to be sure.

It's just completely stopped now I have nothing at all this has never happened before... I've never been more than a day late and my period has never stopped at the beginning it usually catches me out because it is so heavy to start with and then tails out. I know it's not stress because if I am pregnant we have decided to keep it and my fiancee is very supportive. It's just unlucky it's my 19th birthday party on Saturday and I don't know whether I can drink or not

If you took two tests and they show you are negative it's highly, highly unlikely you are pregnant. One test can be faulty, but multiple tests usually aren't. Also, even if you don't think you are stressed about the baby, you could be. You're still having to come to terms with a potential new addition to your life, and figuring out what to do about it. That's a form of stress. It could be having an effect on your period. Even just worrying about your period is a form of stress.

Like I said, I would not worry about it. Go drink at your party and have fun and relax. If you still don't get a "normal" period in the next month, you can try and take another test, but I'm telling you it will probably still come up negative. If it does, talk to your doctor about your concerns and see what they can do.

Saturday morning take another with your first morning urine to ease your mind before the party, if its still negative then I would guess its going to stay negative.

Yeah, I'd say just take one more test, just to be sure Make sure you take it first thing in the morning!

If it's still negative, then have a good time at your party. Sometimes we just miss periods or have weird ones - they can be as regular as clockwork, but the occasional strange one can still come along!

If you don't get a period in the next few weeks, try seeing a doctor, just to put your mind at rest.
