Re: What are the signs and symptoms of pregnancy? -

Some early signs are; cramping, breast tenderness, fatigue, nausea, bloating, constipation or diarrhea, headaches, backaches, spotting, darker areolas, discharge, mood swings, frequent urination, heightened sense of smell and food aversions. Many of the symptoms can happen before your missed period and continue to happen after fertilization. But just because you may be experiencing these symptoms doesn't mean that you're pregnant. If you think you or someone you know could be pregnant I would advise you take a pregnancy test ASAP. You can take them 4 to 5 days before your missed period. If it comes back negative and you think that you ARE pregnant, wait around 2 weeks and try again. Or you could always go to a care center or a planned parenthood and get a test done there.

The first sign for most women will be a skipped period. Not too many women will experience actual pregnancy symptoms before that.
Other common symptoms can include sore breasts, nausea, fatigue, spotting, frequent urination, headaches, mood swings and a metallic taste in the mouth. These really could come and go at any point in the beginning of pregnancy. I'll just say that a good number of these symptoms are also signs of an oncoming period... When reality is a prison, your mind can set you free. |

The first sign of pregnancy is obviously a missed period. While it's possible that she could experience some "bleeding" during pregnancy, it isn't a period (which many woman confuse it with). But, here are some other early signs of pregnancy:
-Nausea -Sore breasts -Fatigue/Tiredness -Backaches -Headaches -Frequent Urination -Darkening of Areolas (the skin around the nipple) -Food Cravings/Aversions You can't solely base ALL of these to be pregnancy symptoms. These symptoms could come from just about ANYTHING these days, including getting her period. The only thing that can give you a for sure answer is taking a pregnancy test. |
