What are some good relatively inexpensive places to eat on a first date? - December 2nd 2011, 12:00 AM

Basically the name of the thread. I was thinking Qdoba but I'm not sure if that's a good idea.

I'm not sure what that place is. Ruby Tuesday's isn't too expensive, and it's nice .

I was actually going to suggest either Chipotle or Qdoba. Sure, their food might seem pricey, but it's cheaper than a fancy restaurant, but the food has better quality than a fast food joint. However, if those options aren't available to you, then try to go with local places, like family-owned pancake or breakfast places. They usually are open early in the mornings to the afternoon, so you could have lunch. Some places are even open in the evenings, you'd just have to check.

I would find out your date's favorite food and then look for a restaurant which serves that.

I came in to suggest this exact thing. That little hole-in-the-wall place that has amazing food.

I do not want to tell you to change your mind, I am just suggesting this (of course if I understood it is the FIRST date) - go to the coffeehouse, or even better - just take a walk. You need the most talking-friendly atmosphere you can find for the first date, and it's good thing it's dynamic too, if you come to the point where you no longer know what to say. But that is just the way I think, everyone has different preferences.

Red Robins. Yum.

Seriously, Red Robins is great, that's where I was taken for my first and it was really good food.

Simple: don't go out for a full meal. I'm of the opinion that dinner dates are a terrible idea anyway (too regimented, too long if she's boring, and a table in between you that stops you from getting physical), but if you absolutely must take a girl to a restaurant, skip the starter and main. Get that bitch dessert. Bitches love dessert. It puts anyone in a good mood, and it doesn't take as long as a full meal. Plus, while I can't back this up with facts or evidence or anything, I suspect that doing something indulgent and a little naughty on the date (eating loads of sugary, fatty goodness) primes her for doing something indulgent and a little naughty later (blowjob in the restaurant carpark).

Maybe take her to get a pizza with you. Usally, a medium or large size pizza will be fairly cheap. So put alittle money away, and then take her to dine in and chill out - not to expensive (like a fancy place) or inexpsensive (like a fast food resturant).

Best wishes,
Chris
