This is the first time i've really spoken out to so many people about this but i really need help. Back when i was 8, my older (by 4 years) brother sexually abused me on many ocassions. From touching to oral sex to penetration. One evening my dad walked in and caught us. My bro immediatley said that he didn't start it, which luckily my dad didn't believe and he got into a lot of trouble. My dad just said "It wasn't your fault." and that was it. Never discussed it after that. I don't know if my mum was told. Probably, but i've never dared bring it up in case she doesn't. It would kill her if she found out. Anyway, it didn't happen again after that day, and my brother seems to just pretend it never happened, but it's been haunting me for years. I haven't been able to get very close to anyone, and already having depression and anxiety it's a bad mix.I still get on with my brother, but he seems quite a split personality on me some times. I don't know how i get over what happened and just get on with my life. What should i do?
