How old until STD's aren't as common. -

(Wow I have not been here in awhile)
Does anyone have any idea as to how long it is until STD's in teenagers aren't as common when they have sex? I remember asking a teacher in high school a long time ago and her response was, "Just wait until you get married." Wow, thanks for the help. Anyway, I want a number as to when it isn't as common to get an STD.
And if anyone if this helps. I'm 18 and she is 15. We are 2 years and 4 months apart.
